Pros

good merchandise, fun coworkers, and flexible scheduling.

Cons

Management: incompetent managers who will make dangerous decisions, physically dangerous, one time a whole shelf of pots and pans fell on an employee bc a manager was too lazy to change the shelf. will try to force hours on you, I am a minor and they would make me work 10+ hr shifts, come in at 3 am for inventory, or leave at midnight during the holidays. They will also enforce the selling of the TJX card, which is to be expected but, management WILL treat you as less if you do not get at least one a week! one lady would sell the most and she would get away with ANYTHING, she would take 1hr breaks and 2 1/2hr lunches and management wouldn't say anything! Benefits: 10% regular days and 20% on special weekends when inventory is low and trashy. not enough for all the work performed by the employees. Culture: All teenagers. If you don't want that, don't work there. A lot of the older employees were openly racist. if you don't look white, expect to be given ugly stares and a bad attitude from the old people. Covid Precautions: If you are scared of covid, I hope you're aware that they DO NOTHING to prevent it. the hourly cleaning they so highly speak of? yeah, they could care less. once, a manager signed off on an entire day without even cleaning a single thing. also, they will put used items such as pillows, blankets, bedsheets. back on the shelf as soon as they get them back, they won't "keep it in the back for 3 days to cleanse it" Side-note: I'm not against hiring disabled people but I am against using disabled people for money. they hire many disabled people who are unable to perform the job simply to get the extra money that you get from hiring disabled people. They will put them in a situation where they are unable to perform and then get mad when they don't do it correctly.

Pros

HomeGoods has a good work environment that is friendly and has a strong core sense in teamwork and support. It does a good job making sure Associates are aware of its available services, and being understanding

Cons

The number one thing I dislike about HomeGoods is the lack of payment and how hours tend to cut down the overall payment a person can get for their effort. Being understaffed makes it difficult also because a person has to then perform more than one job to make up for the lack of appearances.
