Pros

I've been working here for 13 years this month and I can honestly say that there is no better place to work. My HomeServe journey began in the call centre in Outbound Sales. Since then, I have progressed into Marketing and had various roles within the team. HomeServe has really looked after me as an employee through the many opportunities I've been selected for and created. I was successful in gaining a place on an intensive Marketing programme and I've also achieved a Diploma in Marketing which was funded by HomeServe. I have been invested in as a person which shows how much the business cares about it's employees. We get many perks such as an annual Christmas Ball, annual Halloween fair and fireworks, weekly fruit, a great benefits site to name a few. Working for HomeServe is really rewarding too as we empower employees to do the right thing for our Customers. We have a forum called CustomerFirst where employees can refer Customers if they feel they cannot do the right thing. All submissions are discussed in a meeting the next day where decisions are made about how to help these Customers. HomeServe really do things differently, we look after our employees, who will in turn look after our Customers and the rest will take care of itself!

Pros

Good things about HomeServe The People - Very friendly and helpful. The Culture - It is very apparent that everyone in the company knows we are on the same ship, sailing to the same place. Everyone knows what part they need to play in order for us to make it to our destination. Leadership - I know all the names and faces of our Senior Managers/Directors/CEOs which people in other companies probably do not. They are very approachable and sit with us on the main office floor, which is not intimidating in the slightest as they are all very approachable and always willing to listen/help. They also regularly keeps us updated with what is happening with the business through a variety of ways. Caring - We have a scheme where we help vulnerable customers outside of a policy remits, which is money donated from the company in order to help these customers. Activities - HomeServe put on a lot of in-work activities, such as games and competitions and also out-of-work activities, such as mini theme parks on the car-park.

Cons

Sometimes I think some processes are a little too strict.
