Pros

There is a ton of turn over which creates opportunity to advance. Management really doesn't understand or get involved with what's going on so you can have all the work/life balance you want. That flexibility and lack of pressure is what keeps some people around.

Cons

They are telling employees to get on here and write good reviews to drown out the truth. This is a terrible place to work. The culture is awful and management does not practice or implement a framework for respect or openness. It's worse if you're not a white male. I'm a great employee and anyone I've worked for can tell you that, but trying to utilize the open door policy here got me severely burned and a bad reputation. Your best option is to stay quiet, keep your head down, and collect a paycheck until you can get out.

I'm sorry that your experience with us is not positive. It sounds like you've tried to express your concerns to local management. Part of our Open Door policy is that if you don't get resolution or aren't comfortable discussing a concern with your manager, you can feel free to discuss with any manager in any department in any location. The only way to truly resolve concerns is through these direct conversations. Our leadership cares deeply about truth, ethics and respect. I hope you'll reach directly to discuss further. Thanks.

Pros

They hire literally anybody and the sales training is extensive.

Cons

This is the West Coast version of Wolf of Wall Street without the excess. Pump and dump boiler room mentality. This company is a very well organized con operation that takes advantage of the internet. The product does not have the traction of competing platforms and reps must fabricate or straight out lie in order to hit quota. The company relies on the high retention rate in the RE industry in order to continue operating. Not recommended at all for a recent college graduate. Highly recommended for somebody who screwed up in life.

Wow. To say I'm disappointed to read this review is an understatement. Our employees are working hard each day to support the real estate industry and to help agents and brokers connect with homebuyers and sellers. While we are not the biggest in the industry, we certainly aspire to be the best. Your review is not at all like what we typically hear from members of our San Diego team.

Pros

Great ppl for the most part, very helpful, great diversity, 401k, health benefits are in line with the rest of the area, shout out to the SEO team, development team, and especially those in the sales dept that makes the wheels spin at homes.

Cons

Pay, Parent company selling off multiple children companies (3 companies in the past year), high turnover, ignorance (some ppl do not know the basics of their job. ), favoritism, working from home is like pulling teeth (unless you are a favorite), make up policies by teams as they go, and it's a condescending nature towards female employees from some managers.

We have an open door policy at Homes.com where we encourage employees to raise any issues and concerns directly to their management team. I strongly encourage you to do that with specific examples for some of the issues that you have raised here. As you noted, it is important to listen to employees and use the feedback to improve the culture. So please come forward to discuss these concerns in more detail. If you are ever in a position where you don't feel comfortable doing that with a direct supervisor, then please see their manager, or come see me--or reach out directly to our Human Resources department. Thank you, David Mele President, Homes.com
