Pros

Homeside Financial invests in and supports its employees! In my experience, my initial manager was more in tune with my goals than I was, and supported me through moving to where I felt my strengths would be best utilized. Now, I feel more fulfilled in my job, and I have a much clearer career path--all because Homeside took the time to invest in me.

Cons

Homeside is a growing company and as any new company would, it's experiencing some growing pains. The management's goal of being unlike any other company is clear and achieved, but sometimes the other company values are left ambiguous or undefined.

Pros

The environment is very positive. Everybody wants to succeed and help one another towards that goal. The training program is the best I have encountered. I sold Personal Training for a well known fitness facility before I started with Homeside. Dan Stich and the rest of the team has gone above and beyond teaching me about the mortgage industry. I was hired on at the Columbus office and was there roughly 3 months until a very unfortunate family event happened and I had to move to Akron Ohio. I approached my Manager (Dan Stich) and The VP (Mark Greaves) about this, in not so many words, they quickly found a position for me in our Cleveland office. Which in its self is a blessing, I do not know of too many companies that are able to do that. When I started at the Cleveland office, everybody was extremely nice and very welcoming. Overall Homeside has become my professional home and I plan to be here for a very long time.

Cons

If you have not worked in the mortgage industry it can be overwhelming. I started as a account manager, which can be monotonousness at times. However, it does give a great foundation to transition into another part of the company.

Pros

New and fresh and using all of the best automation tools. Great system processes keeping productivity high. The company is interested in the ideas of all employees .

Cons

Not happy with the way their Overtime is calculated. If you take an 8 hr vacation day in same week as you work 50+ hours, They reduce your overtme by 8 hrs and do not pay them at all. No overtime or straight time.
