Pros

Honor is trying to change an industry that needs more light to be shined on it.

Cons

It's a startup, things break and that can be tough to deal with at times.

Pros

Decent benefits, remote/work from home.

Cons

Low and unequal pay, constant workflow and role expectation changes, high employee turnover, extreme favoritism, lack of support and training. Constantly in "fight or flight" mode - nothing is ever stable, which makes actual quality work unattainable, and proper employee training impossible. Upper management works hard to foster a general, looming feeling of insecurity for employees in their roles, which is how they're able to succeed in gaslighting and overworking people. If you express concerns, you are automatically viewed as a "problem" and they are on the war path to get rid of you ASAP. They are in the process of terminating many of their long-term, higher-paid employees in order to cut costs and get away with paying lower wages across the board to new employees who unfortunately don't know any better. Furthermore, they have done so much damage to so many of these poor, unsuspecting Home Instead franchise offices after spewing lies and offering false promises in order to bring them onto the Honor platform. Honor has no business in this field of work. They are uneducated and under-qualified in regards to senior care. They are not a home care company. They are a glorified staffing agency hiding behind corporate buzzwords.

Pros

Remote environment, strong individual contributors, challenging and rewarding work.

Cons

I’ve never felt so unappreciated or undervalued than when I worked for Honor. I reported to a legacy Home Instead exec who only looked out for themself and has been dodging layoffs by coddling the new owners. That, consequently, meant getting reprimanded for not “just saying yes” and instead asking questions seeking to understand. My years of experience, education and knowledge of the company and business did not matter. I lost my voice working there. Leadership wants the Care Platform to work so badly that they’ll blame staff for not doing enough - not selling enough, not coaching enough, not communicating enough, etc. - when the core issue is the platform needs work. It has nothing to do with the ops team that supports it. The platform is fundamentally broken.
