Pros

The people are awesome and genuinely care about what the company is doing. We are solving some really difficult problems and making a meaningful impact on people's lives. The company is also growing quickly which gives employees lots of opportunities to develop skills and move up in a rapidly changing environment.

Cons

Still some growing pains as we try to impact a very challenging market.

We really appreciate you taking the time to offer feedback. Knowing Honor's mission resonates with you and enables you to do your job is something we feel will help Honor continue to grow and be successful. And yes, we agree, the company is growing quickly, which does create a lot of opportunity for upward career momentum, but to your point, can also come with some pain. As a People team, we're working on providing guidance to employees on career development and pathing, and helping drive policies and building framework that we believe will help the company scale. Stay tuned for more! But if you have any specific ideas or additional feedback, please feel like you can reach out to the People team or your leader to discuss any issues that are top of mind.

Pros

If you like working in a fast-paced environment and solving human-centered problems alongside intelligent and empathetic colleagues, you’ll enjoy working here. To know that the work you’re doing is directly and indirectly improving the lives of seniors and their families, as well as those of our amazing caregivers, is a feeling that can’t be beat in my book. The people here are also great to work with; they come from all different backgrounds but seem to be connected by a desire to make social impact. The culture here is one that is supportive and collegial, and there has been more emphasis placed on employee engagement as of late. There are ample growth opportunities for those with great work ethic who put in the time and effort to master their role. The fringe benefits like free lunches, good health insurance, stock options, etc. are also appealing.

Cons

Since we are a fast-growing startup with lofty goals, the further you progress in your career here (think manager and above) you may need to do work outside of core business hours. You can still have a good work-life balance but you’ll need to be more intentional about setting boundaries and practicing good time management. This isn’t unique to Honor but is something one should be prepared for.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. We are proud that you are so engaged with our Mission of providing better care for our Parents. Also, it is great that you have experienced a culture that puts People first! We understand that working for a rapidly growing organization can come with challenges and pain points and often that can come at the cost of work/life balance. The last thing we want to encounter is our employees experiencing a workload that is unsustainable. We hope and encourage all employees to find ways to unplug and disconnect from work and take time off so they can come back engaged and refreshed. Also, we take feedback from employees very seriously and are always looking at ways we can improve as an employer! Stay tuned for our annual engagement survey in the next month.
