Pros

Honor allows its employees to have a fulfilling, impactful, and mentally stimulating career. The right type of employee for this company is smart, humble, direct, accountable, trustworthy, and willing to work hard towards common goals. The leadership team is not only top notch but also compassionate. They are good people and care about the company and its employees, and their decisions reflect that. If this resonates with you, a job at Honor will be the best one of your career.

Cons

The company benefits could be a bit more generous, and we're still in start-up mode, so this is not a 9-5 job (which is a pro and a con).

Pros

Honor is truly trying to improve the way we care for our parents. The company is 100% mission driven and lives by its core values of owning the outcome, acting with honor and solving with empathy. They founders care deeply about the employees across the organization and are highly attuned to employee engagement at all levels. And engagement is extremely high, as it is for Honor partners and for our clients. This is a fantastic company and I would highly recommend it as a place to work for someone who is looking to make a big impact on society while working with an incredible team in a fast-paced, collaborative and fun environment.

Cons

I really cannot think of any negatives of working for Honor.

High turnover, no room to grow

Pros

-Catered lunch -Passionate, intelligent and no-ego colleagues -High impact work that (hypothetically) improves both client and caregiver lives

Cons

Client Management at Honor is a dead end. You will grind it out daily trying to keep your head above water with a workload that can only be described as suffocating. Even more so if you work with a partner, which is most people now that this is the model driving the company's growth. What's worse is that once you have mastered your role and proven you are ready for more responsibility, there is nowhere for you to advance. The culture is extremely "heads down" and each pod is pretty isolated from the others, which is creating a real morale problem. Most people in the role feel so maxxed out that it's a rare occasion to have any social interaction with anyone outside of your immediate team. Honor is so focused on the client/partner/caregiver experience that they have severely neglected the people who are holding operations all together. More and more will be added to your plate to the point of total burnout. This is treated as the norm and has resulted in frequent resignations and no doubt many more to come. Don't expect any "thank yous" or pats on the back when you make a miracle happen - perfection is the expectation. Growth from client management is very stagnant and there appears to be no plan in place to offer further career development and growth beyond CM, unless you're interested in a lateral move or demotion. If the business doesn't have anywhere for Client Managers to grow, then Honor will continue to lose great employees.
