Pros

The kiddos that you serve and some of your fellow co-workers. Benefit package is decent.

Cons

The CEO (Dustin) came to our clinic and told every staff member that they “are replaceable” and if we “don’t like what he is doing then there is the door”. Kim Strunk, the original owner of the company is amazing. Her original idea for the company was to combine disciplines to make therapy more effective. She recently turned over all control to people who do not understand this business (came from HH Gregg and Fabletics) and are only concerned about $$$ and growing into a huge corporation. This company asks their employees to break the law by not reporting issues to child protective services. Pay scales and equal pay are completely disregarded. The HR department is unprofessional and their is no professional confidence. Employees are Treated with no respect or professionalism unless you are on the “leadership team”. No professional development or promotions from within the company.

Pros

Working at Hopebridge must be like what it felt to be on the titanic after it hit the iceberg and you knew it was going to sink. Favoritism, promoting friends, employee bashing, and corporate incompetence at the higher levels is rampant. The clinical department from the regional levels all the way to the top have minimal management or leadership experience and have really anything clinical expertise. The BCBAs are on their own and have to put up with High school educated operational people calling the shots and higher level clinical people promoting their friends and never leaving their office to help. Hopebridge complains about not being able to find BCBAs, which is understandable because their culture is so horrible, but they have about 15 or so BCBAs at the corporate level that no one can figure out what they do, and those BCBAs will not lift a finger to help out centers that need supervision or patient seen, actually get out from behind their desk and actually help. This company is like a house of cards and is controlled by private equity and I would be surprised if it is still around in the next 5 to 10 years. The upper management people act like they listen though, so they get an extra star for their ability to act like they care. Plus one for good acting skills.

Cons

Corporate, management, rampant favoritism, clinical higher ups don’t have clinical expertise or any management or leadership experience to that is worthwhile, minimal breaks, large caseloads, focused on money and not qualify

Terrible and Unorganized with No Common Courtesy or Decency

Pros

None. The pay is terrible. Every department is terribly unorganized. The left hand doesn’t know what the right is doing. Clients show up for therapy with no therapists knowing. Job candidate interviews are canceled minutes before. The company is very risk averse and is afraid to do anything different or better. Multiple colleagues were told to accept a new role or they would be fired in two days. They say they are about their employees and the kids they “serve,” but, trust me, they are not. All they care about is money.

Cons

They don’t refer to their clients—kids with autism—as kids, or even as humans, but rather as “FTEs.” They only care about growth and making money. They have the potential to do so many things with the resources they have but totally squander it. Incredibly unorganized and does not try to make things right when they mess up. If you think you have been wronged or treated with no respect or decency before, work here and you will find out what that is really like.
