Pros

A decent amount of PTO Will pay for you to get your RBT certification/maintain it. The difference you’re able to make in the lives of our patients and families

Cons

No Breaks or you have to “sign up” if you want a lunch and even then it’s still not guaranteed. Management plays favorites. No sick days, you have to use PTO for all time off unless they will approve ATO. Extremely high turnover rate. Virtually no support for RBTs. If you’ve been there for any significant any of time they will take advantage of that and use you as if you are a float, even when you’re only supposed to have two patients you regularly see. Home office continues to require the centers to onboard patients even when we are understaffed. Therapists use safety care techniques without being trained. Leadership treats RBTs as if they are unimportant and their job doesn’t matter as much. They will put inexperienced staff on the floor before passing the RBT exam just so that they don’t have to call out patients and lose billable hours. Lots of practices that could be seen as unethical.

Pros

Co-workers were nice, kids were great to work with and they had several activities/fun days for the kids about once a month which was awesome to see them play and interact with new things and/or activity’s. The rethink data program was easy to work with. It was rewarding seeing kids make progress.

Cons

-One BCBA was very disrespectful towards RBTs and talked down to them. -Class time was unorganized for kids -It was hard to get enough supervision hours and several times I didn’t get all of mine - Pay was not great compared to other ABA centers in the area -It didn't feel like a family environment more like they just wanted to make money - The building is new and way over crowded down rooms had 4 kids with 4 RBTs and those rooms were bigger but the rooms that had 3 kids and 3 RBTs were smaller -It was always hard to find a bathroom for your client and even for yourself also bathrooms where out of order a lot of the time making a RBTs job harder - I feel like more training for clients with more escalated behaviors would be a great idea sometimes it seemed like you wouldn’t know what is expected from you -When kids were sick they let them stay most of the time instead of sending them home -they gave us a bonus and got everyone hyped up then took it away after 2 payouts
