Was working with the guest. Able to meet great front desk staff and enjoyed teaching my staff. Building relationship with my staff.

Cons

Lack of loyalty. Weak leadership and organization. Weak culture and cultivates a weak morale among workers. Lack of senior guidance!! Understanding of the hospitality industry. My 1 st year was great all down hill after that.

HVMG is very passionate about their mission. They really want guests to think of excellence. They have systems for the entire operation. The corporate uppers all came from the ranks.

Cons

There is very little training for the systems that they have. There is almost no communication on a property level. There is very little support from corporate as they are lean. No facilities support, no IT support, the two core support functions that a management company should provide. They will send task force people from other properties. I think that this backfires as the task team just gossips about what a joke the support is and talk about how the brass treats everyone. The medical benefits really are abysmal, worst ever seen. They have a blind spot for their GM's. They let them run havok with little to no oversight. Making the budgeted numbers is only goal. Their pay is substandard from AGM down to line level. They are turn around experts. They aren't in it for the long haul.

Pros

Unless you are a manager salaried manager there is nothing here to write. If you are a salaried manager then things could be a little better for you than everyone else.

Cons

They do not care about hourly associates. Honestly they don't care about any one but the bottom line. They want to be "sought" after for employment but give NO benefits as to why someone would want to work here. They say they want people to be happy with their job, but they say that its all up to you to be happy. I have been perfectly happy with my job before this company took over. This company is the reason that I am not looking elsewhere.
