Pros

Work From Home - PTO

Cons

Base Pay is under market relative to scope. Company shift risk over to Customer Success/Onboarding in order to protect margins by reducing base pay and making the difference bonus dependent on metrics that seem to have been created to be hard to meet on purpose. The current pay structure is relative to that of a customer support role but with implementation specialist responsibilities.

After 5 years, you know we have ambitious goals and are consistently raising the bar. The scope you're describing in Customer Success, spanning onboarding and implementation responsibilities, is exactly what we need to help Pros grow their businesses. The change that you're calling out provides real opportunity for upside earnings. Reach out to your manager or the People Team if you'd like to discuss. -Housecall Pro People Team

Pros

Decent product, Industry is humble and honest, coworkers are an incredible group of humans to work with. Filled with empathy, professionalism and grit, helping the industry that keeps our country running.

Cons

Pay was lower than industry standards, and then last week they cut hourly wages (originally 95/5) further to pre-college wages, creating a 80/20 split with the same OTE. Leadership is blind to what works in this blue-collar industry, personable interactions and human interactions. Turning completely tone deaf to their own core values. Prioritizing quantity over quality. Constant changing of polices, a glorified prison setup(Extra responsibilities (5 new concepts/initiatives in 14 days), pay cut of $7-4 for hourly employees), with micromanagement tactics. Despite being a 'Remote' company requires to report bathroom breaks or lunches, completely different than what role originally was described as (similar to account manager). Toxic PTO culture. Quiet layoffs in the last 6 months, two departments, shady re-hiring practices to show investors false growth indicators.

Pros

work somewhere else and you’ll be happier

Cons

Decided to do a pay reduction for the foreseeable future; a four dollar pay cut from a $26 an hour job with more work added, despite payout

Compensation decisions that affect team members' take-home pay deserve a direct conversation, not a form response. The specifics you've raised about pay and workload are exactly the kind of concerns our People Team is equipped to address. Please reach out to them directly so we can discuss your situation with real context. -HCP People Team
