It was bittersweet. Good colleagues and great supervisor but the District has too much drama going on behind the scenes.

Pros

Good amount of time off for holidays, breaks and for some campuses a flexible schedule for summer months. Leadership program that the district offers is EXCELLENT! And of course the students! Each campus has their own vibe, culture and personality. So the good news is...if you don't like your campus, you could transfer to another position after a certain amt. of months.

Cons

Too much negative press. And it is VERY, VERY political. For it to be one of the largest community colleges in the country, it is not very progressive in terms of best practices etc. In some ways, it appears that the District (not every campus) wants to remain complacent and not necessarily on the cutting edge. Let's just say, more than likely, I will not apply to work there again.
