      Best school district to work for in the Greater Houston area.

      Pros

      Forward thinking school district. HISD is always the first district in the area to implement new and innovative initiatives on learning.

      Cons

      Lower pay when compared to other nearby school districts. Most of the inner city school lack highly effective teachers and many of the school should be torn down and rebuild.

      Pros

      Team members, we become a community working for the betterment of the students. Some leaders are very understanding when there are issues.

      Cons

      Too much red tape, too many cooks in the kitchen. It would help if there was a focus on helping teachers to lead each other.
