Great people at the ground level, student-facing faculty and staff who love this community and want to see it thrive again, rising pro-labor union activity

Cons

President takes prides in being a disruptor, resulting in constant barrage of underfunded, poorly planned trendy initiatives, firings, and appointments of expensive executives who don’t know the basics of operations or management and may not even reside in Maryland. It’s been 3 years now of ongoing, systemic chaos and dysfunction. HCC invests heavily in shiny PR: read the Baltimore Banner and howardcc.fyi before you consider joining the fray.

As a former employee I was treated disrespectfully. They overworked us for a little over $15.70 per hour. This is low pay compared to other colleges. What happen to the union?
