Pros

- GREAT culture! Culture touches so many parts of the company and it makes it an awesome place to work at. - There is a lot of freedom to do your best work using good judgement. Decisions are made based on data and you can always try something new provided you make a case for it - Everyone in the company (including execs and founders) is pretty accessible due to our flat structure. This allows you to meet many people internally and learn from them. No one is "too important" to not grab coffee and chat with you for a few minutes

Cons

- Monetary compensation is a bit below average for tech industry (but we also get a lot of non-monetary perks) - If you are an external hire new to the company, it may be a bit hard to get adjusted at first because of the unique culture and the "HubSpottiness" flying around.

Thanks for the review and for the notes--listening to customers and employees is some of the most important work we do. I agree that for external hires it can take awhile to get acclimated--we need to do a better job finding ways particularly for new managers coming in to the company to thrive early and get support. I appreciate all the work the IS team does to help our customers succeed with HubSpot-thank you for all that you do! Cheers, Katie

Pros

There are so many. First, the transparency and autonomy you are given is remarkable at a company of this size. You are given all the tools and autonomy to do your best work. Second, the team is fantastic from top to bottom. Third, the company is still laser focused on the mission and not solely on the quarterly earnings. Finally, it's amazing to see a company of this size balance scale and growth. It's like a Mini-MBA.

Cons

Legacy internal systems are being rewritten which makes some of the day-to-day more difficult than it should be. You'll have to have an ounce of patience as the team catches up.

An ounce of patience might be the title of my (not so forthcoming) autobiography after this year--you're spot on that scale requires diligence and patience in equal doses, I'm definitely feeling that personally as I'm sure you are too. I love that you call out working here is like a mini-MBA, and that you emphasized the importance of focus--we are working hard to do fewer things better, and I hope that ripple is felt throughout the business if we execute as we'd hoped in the year to come. Thanks for the review and for helping our customers, partners, and prospects grow! -Katie
