Sad to hear you think you're deprioritizing innovation and you're frustrated with compensation--I'll be over in Dublin at the end of August and look forward to hearing more from the team on what's going well and what isn't. In the interim, thanks for sharing your feedback and helping us improve as we scale and grow, appreciate you taking the time. -Katie

Pros

- Autonomy: Being able to have your ideas heard and then given the space to achieve those ideas - Working culture: HubSpot is becoming known for our culture and having a culture where you can be yourself to achieve the most amount of success both personally and for HubSpot is one of the best reasons to work if not the best reason. - Flexibility: I have a family outside of the East Coast and being able to visit them and having my team and HubSpot understand that is a priority is amazing

Cons

Currently, the only downside I see at HubSpot is that we are only located in the Eastern part of the United States which limits our ability to reach out in the States for other talent.

Thanks for teaching our customers how to grow and for the thoughtful review. I love that you said you can be yourself here--that warms my heart! Agree that our East Coast strength can sometimes be tough in a competitive market for talent, but it's something we are actively sorting and thinking through for next year, so appreciate the insight and feedback. I appreciate all you do to help HubSpot grow, thanks for the review! Sincerely, Katie

HubSpot lives with HEART

Pros

The company focus on helping SMBs grow is motivating. The executive team is inspiring, coworkers are fantastic and the work is challenging. Many organizations have mission statements or sets of company values. HubSpot lives the company values from the bottom up and the top down. The management team believes in hiring people with HEART (Humble, Empathetic, Adaptable, Remarkable, Transparent). When you trust the people around you, you let the politics of a typical workplace slide away, and focus on delivering a fantastic customer experience and product.

Cons

The majority of employees are young professionals (which is dynamic and fun), but sometimes lacks years of real-world experience. The executive team has made up for this over time by hiring more experienced managers/directors/VPs. Sometimes the focus on 'career growth' seems like if you're not getting your next promotion, you're not growing. This mentality is starting to shift though.

Thanks for your feedback, and your overall super thoughtful review. I agree with your push on career growth, and with the fact that long-term we need to change the vernacular so that growth isn't just promotions, it's a much broader commitment to expanding your horizons and skills. We are going to continue to invest in the trust and transparency you love about working here, I hope we make you proud in doing so. Thanks for all you do and for leading with HEART to help HubSpot grow. Sincerely, Katie
