Pros

Great people, inclusive, culture, flexible PTO

Cons

High performance culture, PIP if you’re not consistently meeting every single metric, most get let go after, some even after passing, in support you’re a number on a report more than being evaluated for the actual interactions with customers. Most employees apply for 11 jobs internally before getting hired. Recruiting told me I’d be promoted in a year, only work 1 weekend a year, and be able to move into another role in a year and a half. None of that ended up being true.

Churn and Burn

Pros

Great benefits and the pay is great the first year on ramp since quota is obtainable

Cons

Quota is high when average delas sizes are low. Very little leads coming in and if they do come in they are terrible. Very much a churn and burn company, alot of burnout and management encourages working after hrs and on weekends

In my experience, HubSpot has a toxic culture

Pros

- WFH setup - Decent ish work life balance until after "Week of Rest"

Cons

- I have experienced insincere managers who will be nice to you only to get you to work harder than your pay grade. And without intentions of promoting you. - I have experienced low internal mobility and little transparency on the promotion process (no discussions about what did/didn't make me eligible for promotion during a cycle) - In my experience, I've noticed a toxic top-down culture with censorship or denying/minimizing/blaming when employees don't conform and drink the orange Kool-Aid. - In my experience, I've noticed many internal inefficiencies due to the company mainly reacting to market conditions and trying to grow too aggressively. - In my experience, the recent push to "high-performance culture" signals more toxicity and cutthroat performance metrics than before.

Sorry to hear and read this--on high performance, the goal is to stay true to our goal of remarkable, not at all to become cut-throat, but I'm sorry to hear that's the impression of where we are headed. -Katie
