It is a remote job

Pros

It's fully remote and will likely remain that way.

Cons

Culture has shifted to resemble Amazon, but the pay doesn't reflect this change. ICs are also no longer awarded RSUs.

Pros

Remote work and sabbatical every 5 years

Cons

- there are a lot of managers who blame the people under them rather than take accountability for their poor decisions - managers and TLs want promos and will throw people under the bus whenever needed - work life balance does not exist anymore - managers track every pr and will nit pick mistakes during performance conversations - very little mobility upwards and when asked about growth opportunities shut down - micromanagement is very common - being remote means that if you aren't broadcasting your every win everyone will assume you don't work
