Pros

The plant operates with two labor unions. Working with personnel, through the union, will sharpen your skills with employee training, record retention, and better department management. All of the supervisors and managers work well together. The culture, at that level, is one of encouragement and a genuine team, mentality.

Cons

There is a definite disconnect between upper-management and the leadership in the facility. Human Resources works to promote the corporate agenda, rather than advocate for the well-being of salary and hourly employees in the plant. More responsibilities, such as; more departments; more employees; more projects; more programs; are added each year, without a review or increase to one's salary. Most employees would rather have the opportunity to receive yearly bonuses, than see money being used for prize programs, achievement luncheons, and the bi-yearly Family Day Fairs.

Low Pay, Micromanagers, No flexibility

Pros

PTO allowed to be taken

Cons

Upper management will not allow any flexibility in work location/schedule. over 70% turnover, leaving for more pay and hybrid schedules (where job allows). Plant posts record profits and employee reward is a popsicle. Micromanagement impedes progress and makes employees shut down. Does not promote from within.

Pros

good pay, summer friday program, good benefits, tuition reimbursement is not bad but could be better for such a large company

Cons

toxic environment, leadership are promoted into jobs they have no background or experience in, multiple managers bully employees within the Switching business unit , No acknowledgement of reported issues from corporate. insane turnover of employees both shop and office but no changes to better the facility in 4 years now, horrible yearly review process designed to save the company from giving raises to employees. No roadmap and management to better employees lives.
