Pros

Standard benefits. Generally good 401k plan and match. Good new hire referral program (wonder why?) Can be good experience. And, a few words to reach minimum count.

Cons

Covid. Vaccines are not mandatory, and they don’t report contact tracing to exposed employees. Yet they do pee test highly educated adults for THC. I’m not worried about an accountant that eats gummies before bed. I’m worried about the unvaxxed Covid vehicles walking around the office, or sharing air without wearing PPE. Mandate coming into the office, when unnecessary but too dangerous for the free Community coffee. This is on brand for their priorities. Growth, or lack there of. They’ve raised prices on customers 4 times in the past year, but dropped our annual merit raises by 33%. Place is a stepping stone.

Pros

I have seen steady growth since starting. Lots of opportunities if you show interest and drive. Work life balance is ok, and benefits are average to good. I feel like I am being treated fairly and I feel fulfilled in my role. Management encourages new ideas and supports implementation in my case, I cannot speak for managers at other locations or in other departments, but overall corporate philosophy encourages innovation.

Cons

Hubbell is a large corporation, so high level decisions can come abruptly, for example, a corporate goal could be to reduce overall footprint, so daughter companies may be relocated or sold without warning, with outsourcing for common roles such as purchasing and accounting.
