Pros

Flexibility to work from home - IF - you’re a new employee or your local office closed. Used to have great leaders and mentorship. Great colleagues.

Cons

Zero work life balance. Upper management all work from home while less senior employees are required to come to the office. They lost a lot of talent due to inconsistent WFH policy. Projects are unorganized, poorly coordinated, and management doesn’t prioritize work. Everything must be done ASAP. Following RIFs & resignations, vacant roles were not backfilled & remaining employees are overloaded.

The Truth about Hubbell

Pros

See below for description of working at Hubbell

Cons

The following is my experience working at Hubbell: Truth: when sales and morale at the company were down, management spent thousands of dollars to create their own company board game claiming how great they were and required every employee play the game for over an hour. Truth: when sales are down and when executives can’t figure out how to fix bad decisions they have made that have cost the company millions of dollars they use mass layoffs on a regular basis to increase profitability numbers. This creates chaos and stress for those of us who remain after the layoffs. Truth: Hubbell does not make any effort to re-hire hard-working dedicated employees who have been laid off. Truth: Many current Hubbell leaders lie and deceive the employees who report to them regarding job security, future working for the company, etc. Truth: Hubbell is listed as one of “the most ethical companies to work for” however an effort is being made to provide proof so that this title can be revoked or suspended. Truth: Hubbell uses every loophole possible so that their products technically qualify as “Made in America” however they are currently funding and putting much effort to manufacture and assemble products in Mexico. Truth: Many of Hubbell’s current HR managers behave, treat employees and act in ways that go against their own company code of conduct. Truth: They currently have the worst customer service departments. Hubbell could be such a great company and it is very unfortunate that their current executives, leaders and managers have created such a horrible place to work and build a career at.
