Pros

- 10 years old company, that still has the feel of a start-up! i.e. innovation, development, growth culture - HQ in Amsterdam has a great company culture, the people are friendly, kind, and intelligent, it's a great recipe for success - The founders were a great part of the business, but without them, the business is still striving and it feels like a place you can really grow now with a lot of opportunities due to the acquisition with Protolabs - The delicious lunches keep you well fed, with all the right nutrients and balance - You don't feel excluded if you don't want to hang around for Friday drinks, you can relax and play games and socialise - Great balance of work and life, the two are very closely linked. Hybrid working means there are options to work in a really nice office where the office manager does a great job of taking care of it and making it a warm, comforting place or you can work from home, with all the tools to do your job - Salaries haven't always been the best, but the company calibrates often and measures against the market

Cons

- We're still in the in-between phase of integrating with Protolabs, it would be great if the unknown unknowns became more known sooner, rather than later - We need to be very careful about merging the two cultures and accept the differences - but I have faith

Pros

Good benefits: - 25 days vacation - Yoga sessions - Gym plan - 3d printing in the company - small library with books and chess set - Bonus if you bring new people to the team - Really nice lunch provided by company, with really nice chef. - Snacks all day, coffee, milk, tea, fruits, sometimes cookies, brownies and cake with compliments of the chef. - Budget for trainings and books - Budget for commuting - 30% ruling for people outside of the Netherlands - Annual trip - Headphones plan (50% subsidised) - Help with relocation and visa sponsorship - Friday drinks - Trips with work purpose (India, China, Chicago) - Ocasional events, bringing people from different industries to share knowledge Founders are really present in the day to day of the company, they know everybody's names and backgrounds. They are very reachable and transparent. I have the feeling they care about the well being of people inside the company, more than other places I've worked previously. They put a lot of work in the new office, to make sure it's a comfortable and nice place for people to work. Very organised and well structured onboarding process Care about sustainability and good design. Very agile company, adapt fast to changes. Flexibility and autonomy to do your work. Constant feedback given, so that you can improve.

Cons

They should be more transparent about stock option plan. The company has a high turnover rate, not necessarily because people decide to leave the company, but because their contracts are not extended. Most of the interns only spend the time of their internship programs and leave after that. I feel only people close to management are seen and given proper credit for their work, while other people who are a bit more distant are forgotten. For those people, it seems to be okay for the management to just give a tap in the shoulder and a few words of congratulations. It's usual to replace people by others with similar skills, but better cost/benefit. Very strict about culture/values of the company. People should be comfortable in expressing they don't want to help with the lunch dishes or helping with ad-hoc office work when they don't want to. Mainly because that's not the reason they were hired for (field of specialisation). The company does not force the employees to collaborate with these, but certainly you are going to be seen as the "difficult person who does not align with the culture of the company" if you express you dissatisfaction regarding this matter. Management should be more chilled about it, after all people are different and come from different backgrounds. The company has a complex and interesting business, so they should invest in hiring experienced professionals if they want to scale up. Unfortunately in many cases, the company does not offer attractive salary to experienced professionals, which makes hiring new talent difficult in some cases. Be careful with what is posted by management on WhatsApp group of the company. For example, posting video delivering goods in front of employee house because he/she worked extra hours in ad-hoc project. There should be a line between what is personal and strictly professional.
