Pros

Hubs is a multi-cultural, diverse company. I joined Hubs in July 2022 and I could not be happier with my decision to join this team. The most prominent pros for me is that the company values culture. They have built a strong, inclusive culture and being part of the HR function, culture is very important to our core focus of supporting the company and the people. I am an expat and Hubs has also made me feel very welcome in the company. Another pro for me is the flexibility Hubs offers. As an employee you allowed ownership. The opportunity to learn and grow is also very present at Hubs. Apart from formal learnings that you are allowed to do, there are also many social gatherings where I can learn about different cultures and approaches. Being in HR, these learnings and opportunities are invaluable.

Cons

Hubs has recently gone through an acquisition process. With regards to this there are still a few growing pains regarding communication and integration with the parent company. The acquisition is good for Hubs, but it is challenging at times. I believe this challenge will subside as we integrate further.

Pros

- 10 years old company, that still has the feel of a start-up! i.e. innovation, development, growth culture - HQ in Amsterdam has a great company culture, the people are friendly, kind, and intelligent, it's a great recipe for success - The founders were a great part of the business, but without them, the business is still striving and it feels like a place you can really grow now with a lot of opportunities due to the acquisition with Protolabs - The delicious lunches keep you well fed, with all the right nutrients and balance - You don't feel excluded if you don't want to hang around for Friday drinks, you can relax and play games and socialise - Great balance of work and life, the two are very closely linked. Hybrid working means there are options to work in a really nice office where the office manager does a great job of taking care of it and making it a warm, comforting place or you can work from home, with all the tools to do your job - Salaries haven't always been the best, but the company calibrates often and measures against the market

Cons

- We're still in the in-between phase of integrating with Protolabs, it would be great if the unknown unknowns became more known sooner, rather than later - We need to be very careful about merging the two cultures and accept the differences - but I have faith
