      Enticing work environment, until you see what's on the inside.

      Pros

      Arcade area, free lunch, fun people (peers), fast-paced, after work events (90% of event involve alcohol consumption), free healthcare, one trip per year to a professional sporting event.

      Cons

      Decisions are made from the top-down with little to no consideration for after effects on employees, the coach relations department gets neglected by the rest of the company, no one cares about how their decisions will effect them. Every employee is in love with Hudl for the first few months (they "drink the koolaid") until they realize that upper management is selfish, egotistical, manipulative and irresponsible. The "fun culture" that attracts people to the company isn't as it seems once you start working there.

      Thanks for the feedback. We're sorry the experience didn't meet your expectations and you feel our Coach Relations Team doesn't get the love it deserves. We do our best to keep their experiences in mind any time a new product or campaign goes out the door. We recently created a new position within Coach Relations – Tech Lead – where a handful of Hudlies communicate with the Product Team to report common issues and keep their own department updated on what's coming down the pipe by attending iteration meetings and even working alongside the devs for extended periods of time.       Fun in the beginning

      Pros

      Good benefits, free lunch and coffee, opportunity to make decisions.

      Cons

      A LOT of after work events that are "optional" but seem frowned upon to miss. You also have to buy into the culture and ideals 100% if you don't want to be an outlier.

We definitely don't want anyone to feel pressured into those optional events and totally understand that our culture isn't a perfect fit for everyone, but we'd hate for anyone to feel uncomfortable in just being themselves.       Social workplace with awesome benefits, sometimes lacks in professionalism.

      Pros

      401(k) matching, unlimited vacation, catered lunch every day, fully covered health insurance, opportunities to move up within the company.

      Cons

      A lot of times, things are done without putting too much thought in to it. Product updates, new positions, events being scheduled when there aren't enough people to cover shifts. There also isn't a receptionist or clear welcome area in the two office locations, so interviewees awkwardly walk in without knowing where to go or who to talk to.

      We really appreciate this feedback and will be sure to chat with leadership about how quickly things are being done. While it's great to hear those benefits are still being enjoyed, clearer communication and a certain level of comfort in bringing the #realtalk are always top of mind.
