* Company hasn't successfully adapted to a changing publishing environment. * Online and web presence is embarrassing. Website and courses are unappealing and very difficult to use. * Management is not very creative, and only recently made a commitment to new forms of electronic media. * No employer contributions to 401(K). ESOP shares provided to employees have drastically fallen in value. * Two rounds of layoffs in the past decade. * Top-down management.
