Pros

Easy to get a job there

Cons

high pressure, pointless 'fabricated pressure' to his imaginary targets, high focus on quality but not in a positive way - get penalised if you fail a case and no praise if you pass a case or 1000000 cases in a row. Only

Pros

Good money and great money if you can over produce. Technically not challenging, but working fast and accurately is key to hit target. (Which they make harder and harder to reach)

Cons

Long hours, employed under false pretences, unethical view to staff During the interview it was highlighted you work 1 in 3 Saturday's and get a day off during the week. Once starting, you find out the real story. It's a day in lieu so you work a 6 day week without having a say and you can only have your day in lieu if you hit your target. Neither of these mentioned in the interview or the contract. As starting as a newbie, of course you don't hit target for a while while you learn and adjust so you won't be getting that day in lieu anytime soon. Pretty bad. Over recruited. Shifts have been shortened to strictly 8 hours on a weekday and Saturday is the only day you can do overtime. This is to create maximum productivity, each seat is taken with no spares and it feel like a bit like a factory. You now have 8 hours to produce 3 cases (which is difficult enough) as well as answering many phone calls (some very time consuming setting complaints up) squeezing in a lunch break and performing the standard admin posting your letters, making payments and filling out surveys. Stretching the bar with no real outlook on how the role works, so the target become more and more unachievable.

Pros

Huntswood has a great team spirit, there were always social activities and the team were friends, rather than just colleagues. There were lots of challenges and you're pushed to learn something new. The end of year party is always incredible!

Cons

Whilst a steep learning curve is good, there wasn't enough training or support to make sure it was achievable or that people were comfortable with it. The managers of the section I worked in were inexperienced but both have since left the company.
