      -Great benefits for family - full, free 90% coverage -Strong retirement & savings package -Decent compensation

      Cons

      -Slow moving company -Very conservative -Traditional structure -Uninspired leadership -Weak bonus vs other large companies (e.g. Suncor)

      Pros

      Some good people there, great head office location, pay on average with industry. Would recommend only because in these times, any job is a good job.

      Cons

      CIO "manages upwards", ignores IT and those under him except as strategic political pawns. Average front-line workers won't care and he won't influence their work; senior IT workers involved in decision-making and/or strategy will be constantly used as body armour until they are fired or move on. They've recently followed the herd mentality and have been out-sourcing their entire IT

      Pros

      Good training opportunities with multiple on site and out sourse courses. Lots of lunch and learn courses and field courses

      Cons

      Amid multiple layoffs they ensure they lay off the workers and keep all the supervisors. They protect their own. Old boys club. Typical oil company politics with 95% male supervisors and male promotions.
