Pros

Decent co-workers. Help people shop for groceries, stay feed.

Cons

They (managers, fellow workers) treated me during my daylong stint as an Aisles Online Shopper in November 2022. While I got a decent first impression from the person who who hired me on, both of the bosses that I worked with on my shift were so authoritarian and condescending that I decided to quit the job the same day I began. The job only had two saving graces, (a) I had very kind co-workers and (b) I got meaning out of helping individuals find their groceries. In essence, my issues with the management were twofold. First, there was a rigidly enforced dress code (e.g., I had to trim my beard to a certain length). Certain elements of this code, like my example, were overly strict and infringed upon my personal autonomy (and on others' as well, I am sure). Second, and more importantly, I got the distinct impression that these managers did not want to do their jobs (i.e., were lazy). While I was asked for my time off requests beforehand, I got called into the office after shift by these two bosses and told that my schedule "was not going to fly" because "I have too many people to schedule and cannot manage X number of individuals." The gist of our conversation was, "Sorry, but we cannot accommodate your needs because we are too lazy to do our jobs." Utter incompetence and disregard for others' well-being permeates this store's upper management. If you can, please avoid working here.

Pros

Flexible hours. Diversity. Generally nice co-workers.

Cons

Overworked with a skeleton crew and told that we will not be getting any more staff except one cook. You will never get full-time, the only time you might is if the only full-time in your department quits, and even then they may give it to some new person, or just not care at all. Underpaid to where groceries are never affordable and can't even pay for health insurance. Constantly adding more work from corporate without them knowing the job. Corporate said "get rid of the most popular items, the customers will love it." Supposed to be employee owned, but its definitely corporate owned.

Pros

They pay you on time You will have some autonomy, but I hear that's going bye-bye very quickly

Cons

You're upper management will be a mess of young, clicky tools who will kiss the butt of the next up in line while throwing you under the bus. This butt-kissing is very prevalent throughout this Company. You're Job will be very physically demanding They will call you up and expect you to check and bag while other departments get a pass. You will NEVER get a thank you. Hard work doesn't pay here. You will get no help as store managers will cut your labor costs, so it will end up being you and another part time associate to work trucks. You will always be behind the 8 ball. Corporate will send you (pawn off) garbage product with zero chance of it selling. It will expire and you will throw it away. Thousands of dollars of product weekly will get dumped. Your product will most likely be 20%+ cheaper at Walmart, making your 10% discount worthless.
