Pros

I enjoyed the coworkers in my department.

Cons

Upper management is horrible, they stick together and are very biased. I felt there was no room for growth, there's a very high turnover rate which obviously speaks volumes. Pay is horrible and you work like crazy.

Burned me out. Hesitant to work for another hotel again because of it.

Pros

Loved my co-workers, they were very friendly and sharing experiences with them was a joy. You learn a lot from international co-workers. The job could be flexible when you needed it to be. Up to 12 free nights at Hyatts around the world if you worked full-time plus discounted rates. Fun on-site events for employees every couple of months.

Cons

The support system at the job wasn't the best. Promotions were hard to come by. Only would have one employee working in locations that needed at least two or three employees for optimal productivity. The policy revolving around asking for days off kept being changed by the managers who wouldn't inform the employees of these changes Wouldn't have the next week's schedule until a day or two before that week. Some customers would threaten or harass employees over issues out of our control and some of the managers would cajole the customer rather than protect the employee. The pay was not very decent at all and they made it a point to cut hours during holiday weeks so that you never could get the extra money.

Pros

There are a lot of incentives to keep front desk agents motivated. Pay is pretty good! They started me a lot higher than I expected. They try to do a lot of employee activities.

Cons

They often move from one objective to the next before even updating staff as to whether they have met their goal as a team. At first I felt like they really cared about your personal growth but over time it seemed like they just wanted to portray that they care but didn't follow through.
