Pros

-Felt cared for and important as an employee. -Didn’t feel bad about asking for time off AT ALL. It was actually encouraged-extremely refreshing! -You’re paid fairly for the work you do. If you do more, you are paid more. Simply put. -Evaluations/reviews are timely. You were given opportunities to speak your mind and managers appreciated your input. Never once did I feel threatened, or felt I was being talked down to. -Was offered multiple opportunities to cross train, and had opportunities to go on task force assignments.

Cons

-Sometimes department communication fell through the cracks. Which is expected. However, it kept happening. Besides this small error, I’d give Hyatt 5 stars. I’d work for the company again in a heartbeat.

Pros

Free food which is half way edible anyways. Free uniform dry cleaning.

Cons

Overworked and underpaid. looked down upon from people in higher positions, managers were stressed and took it out on us. Managers showed favoritism and ego tripped for sure. Managers had "guests are always right" mentality even if the guest was blatantly rude and disrespectful. They would promise to have our back and then make us look stupid in front of the guests. VERY rude guests sometimes. We would get so busy and it would be chaos. Promised promotion and said I wasn't qualified after going through the interview process and was humiliated. A LOT of gossip and drama. Long hours with short breaks and could not sit at ALL. Feet and back always hurt so bad and if you go in the back you are told by manager to get back to the desk. Incompetent coworkers. Had to pay $3 parking just to go to work. TERRIBLE turn over.

Discrimination at it's best

Pros

Nice after hours get together.

Cons

Discrimination and unbiased towards women. I am someone with an excellent proffessional background. The manangement does not know how to project and use the skills of those they hire. There was a lack of management and half of time there were no guidance. They pretend to have trained you. The supervisor/manager was not present for first few months. When went on board, did not know how to manage the new staff. Favored the men and blatantly outcasted the female in the group. The higher management pretty much isolate you from the rest of the group and confuse you on what you want done. I clearly asked what they wanted done and they turn around and lie that you didn't do the job. When they asked you not to proceed with the project initially. Should have reported to HR. They need to take a look at management and be aware of unethical behaviors. That department will not progress with how they run it. There is also harrassment as manager multiple times had a meltdown and was screaming on top of his voice towards this employee.
