Pros

Some of the leadership still cares about the quality of services provided, unique and creative programs and opportunities for growth

Cons

Intense focus on growth with minimal concern for delivery of quality, leadership instability and top heavy, reduced focus on core values resulting in great ideas with no functional plan or ability to implement in the real world.

Pros

Getting to work with the kids and coworkers.

Cons

All levels of management are inconsistent, unprofessional and overall run an unethical program. They are frequently understaffed and are aware that staff feel overwhelmed, but add job responsibilities and expectations to work within programs that don’t allow for staff to work 8 hours. This leaves salaried staff underpaid and all staff feeling burnt out. When staff have attempted to address these types of concerns, management has responded by saying there are cases in all jobs where people need to work over and basically if your goal isn’t to help the people you work with (meaning working over and not be compensated) feel free to move on. The turnover rate is incredibly high (7 employees resigning at one location within a month) and other locations will still ask for help as they all also have high turnover. They promise accommodations and extra money for picking up shifts that staff have often reported not receiving. Wage gaps are very common among employees with the same job title and experience/education. Employees have been told to “advocate for themselves” about these matters and that they are “disappointed to hear staff discussing wages”. Management behaves unprofessionally in scenarios of staff transitioning out of their positions with the company, such as deactivating key fobs and email accounts prior to their last day as well as making negative comments about staff in conversation at the office. Overall toxic work environment that makes all decisions based on money being made and not the benefit of kids, families and employees.
