Pros

Strong brand, flexible working hours, great working environment, people are excellent, good medical benefits for people with family, flexible time-off policies, challenging projects in big customers, abundant online resources for self learning purpose

Cons

Limited training/development opportunities due to cost cutting (IBM is trying to compensate this by providing abundant online technical resources for self learning purpose however most of the time the depth of the material is lacking if used in real life project), lack of transparency in criteria for promotion to higher band and position, a lots of approval sometimes can affect flexibility, most of the time career aspiration is difficult to accommodate due to business situation, many talented people leave this company, resources are very limited thus affect availability to work on customer projects.
