Pros

Decent pay, laid back environment. A lot of flexibility because you could work from home frequently. The dress was casual as well.

Cons

Deadlines were vague and people tended to worry about their own tasks. Team atmosphere was missing. Older crowd so it was not as fun.

Pros

IBM has done a great job of investing money and resources into its internship experience (from which they make full-time offers). I would highly recommend IBM GBS for an internship as they treat interns with respect and assign challenging projects. Interns are also given opportunities to participate in social events and the compensation was more competitive than the other offers I received. IBM GBS hired around 50 interns nationwide in the summer of 2009, all of whom gave presentations to senior management.

Cons

There should be bonuses offered for high performing interns
