Pros

Good compamny history I previous work at IBM 15 years ago and loved it but IBM today is 100% different and is just a consulting company. Good pay Good technologysuch as Watson

Cons

No job oppportunities for developers unless IBM wins contracts Too many layers and too much management My manager was spread way too thin and did not listen as probably did not have the time to listen as always had to rush through conversations. Horrible situation.

Pros

Working from home. Ten second commute. Allows for a very flexible schedule and contributes to more fulfilling life style. IBMers are still a very dedicated bunch.

Cons

Working from home. I never met in person any of the people I worked with in my last stint at IBM. Required quite a bit of extra effort to maintain effective communication. I was very surprised at the dedication of IBMers regardless of somewhat tenuous business environments.
