Pros

Great gig if you are able to stay employed.

Cons

Company has annual business practice of laying off employees, including laying off direct-hired employees while keeping contract workers within the same team. Job security and pay raises are non-existent. 7 years of service and not a single pay raise despite consistent above average evaluations from management.

Pros

You get to work for one of the greatest companies in the US.

Cons

Mostly based on the location I worked at. Rocket Center, WV. Very low salaries. Don't really consider what you are looking for, career goals, interests (though they claim they do) and stick you on any old project assignment. Project assignment staff are not technical, and really don't understand what they're doing. How can you work at a technology company and have absolutely no technical knowledge or background, especially in a role where you are assigning resources to contracts? Tend to place people in training just for the sake of keeping people busy. If your available you're put in it, no matter if its related to your job or has anything to do with the area of work your in. Overall culture is nothing like a typical IBM location, in that people here don't collaborate, socialize, and overall are miserable. High turnover rate.

Pros

Company name recognition, excellent pay, opportunity for advancement as long as you are not on the resource list

Cons

NO job security, sales quotas not attainable any longer because they are not even close to being realistic, products and services are in decline and not even competitive, R&D is almost non existant, and even when you do an excellent job you could still be resourced for no cause
