Pros

There were waffles one time

Cons

Overworked- While working for ICF I worked as many as 5 projects at single a time. Training- If you want to attend a conference for work and for example it takes 1 week you either have to use your PTO or work overtime to make up for that missed time Turnover- I was there for 1 year and knew about 15 people. By the time I left 3 remained. All were either fired, laid off or left the firm Project Management- PM's have very little to no experience and are often overworked trying to manage up to 6 or more projects at once. Technology- Tech stacks used internally are out of date and rarely utilize best practice Management- Managers are often disorganized and don't communicate with one another or staff members. Expectations are never clear or precise. Benefits - Health insurance options were limited and extremely overpriced

Pros

Decent 401k match. Travel exposure within and outside North America. Nothing else comes to mind.

Cons

Poor work life balance, managers expect you to work long hours and over weekends. They humiliate you publicly, threaten you and make you feel depressed. I have not seen a workplace that treats their employees so badly. Probbaly which is why the employee turnover is high in almost all the departments and at all levels, from leadership to the analyst level. Our group's leadership has been a musical chair, the person changed almost every year. As a consequence group's strategy keeps changing, no solid and sound direction. Poor health and welfare benefits. Health insurance premium, portion that comes out of employee's paycheck, is quite high and keeps rising every year. No sick days, only PTO. Place stinks of dirty politics. Bad culture of throwing colleagues under the bus. No career coaching and no focus on individual's career development.

Pros

Good hours, most of the time meaningful project work.

Cons

Salary, Salary, Salary. While upper management does speak with employee's it does not seem to act on some of the systemic issues, as it will ask about the problem and then when they look for a solution they do not always consult those of which the policy effects.
