Pros

The pay is ok and coworkers are nice

Cons

The first company that I've worked in where teamwork is not valued so much. You government lead can say or do anything and put you under the bus without any proof or repercussions. This company will not go to bat for you in this dog eat dog world. They only care about making the government customer happy at any cost - even if it means your job when you've done absolutely nothing wrong. Poor management who never do as they say.

Pros

Colleagues in select divisions are smart, capable. Formed strong relationships. Opportunities to work on contracts for variety of federal agencies.

Cons

So many talented colleagues have left due to culture shift at this organization over the years. Culture in some divisions is toxic and any checks and balances process is broken. A few employees carry the rest who basically get paid a lot of money to do nothing. Pay is not equitable at all and there is no transparency about pay scales. Most staff and leadership know pay is low especially for long time staff hired in at low rates. Continued lies about this from executive leadership only foster poor morale and continued turnover. Unethical behavior is overlooked by HR and upper management in spite of many staff following processes to report as directed in mandatory compliance trainings. HR is a joke. Not staffed adequately and not responsive. They will flat out ignore your emails until you copy a higher up whose name influences them to respond. They will eventually respond with boilerplate language, but people who are inside and have interacted with HR over the years know the truth.
