Pretty Good Company

Pros

ICF is not a bad company - it really depends on who you work for and what line of business you're in. In general, they seem responsive to staff needs and they care about giving back - often matching donations made by employees. Benefits are good too - not the best, but respectable.

Cons

It seems hard to get a raise, even if it's clear that they have a lot of money stored away. A 2% increase a year hardly account for the cost of living adjustment! I think good people end up looking elsewhere because of the modest raises and almost non-existent bonus structure.

Pros

My co-workers are friendly. I am given challenging assignments that allow for growth. Benefits are pretty good. Flexibility with hours and working from home.

Cons

There have been no major drawbacks. ICF is a relatively large company, and I am still learning more about some of its components.

Good for growth; Bad work/life balance

Pros

This company encourages growth and finds opportunities for junior staff. There is a ceiling for most staff where it is difficult to climb up. Compensation could be better.

Cons

The work/life balance is very bad. Working 50-60 hours a week is normal for most staff.
