Dear current employee, Thanks for your review. To address your concerns regarding pay, we participate in a variety of external surveys to ensure we are benchmarking ourselves against competitors. Sometimes our ability to pay more is restricted due to specific client contracts or affordability, but we strive to pay fairly in all areas of the company. If you are concerned about your current compensation please speak with your direct leader or a member of the HR team.

Rock Stars and sociopaths

Pros

Truly the most capable people this side of DARPA. The company is loaded with Rock Star Employees.

Cons

the culture sucks and there's no growth from the inside. new employees see middle and upper management succeeding by treating their subordinates like sled dogs. new employees, believing that this is how you get things done, treat their colleagues the exact same way, thinking it will advance their careers, but the joke's on them and they're not going anywhere. When management is full of terrible people, you're lower-level employees will be terrible people in dead-end jobs.

Pros

If you want to work in the government sector, especially the Washington, DC, area, ICF has a decent footprint. They are very enthusiastic about PMP credentials, and will work with employees at the corporate location to acheive that designation. For people who like to manage by spreadsheet, ICF is probably a good place to work.

Cons

Although they have aspirations of being a "Big" consulting firm when they grow up, they are an overglorified body shop. They don't brand or market well, are average at best at client relations, and are spotty and inconsistent on execution and delivery.
