      Pros

      Benefits are top notch. Some managers are awesome.

      Cons

      They will work you to death if you don't live in a major city, plan to travel 80-90%. Metrics are everything to upper management regardless of any other needs or feedback from CRAs. Home grown CTMS system is antiquated, inefficient and opposite of productive and but is also where trip reports are written. Resourcing does not consider your location when they assign sites. Keep in mind that I have worked for only 1 sponsor since starting at ICON 3 years ago so my experience is solely based on this.

      ICON is a solid company with good innovative ideas,

      Cons

      Management is disorganized, implementing changes without organization or planning. Career opportunities exist for employees in the US or EU, not in the other regions. They changed some benefits during the last years.

      Wonderful co-workers. Work from home

      Cons

      In 2015 the benefit package was changed. Medical coverage is not as good and people lost time off when they switched to PTO time. No room for advancement. Lack of support from upper management. Understaffed.
