Pros

Free Snacks Free Coffee PTO TIME

Cons

If you are a person of color, I would avoid working here. Most of leadership and Management over look the concerns and treatment of the minorities of the company. There is favoritism based off your skin color and they will exclude you intentionally from training so that you aren't knowledgeable about your job duties while they place a preference on other demographics. You will be the victim of microaggression and bullying by management and supervisors and when you company to HR, you will be retaliated against and targeted. The leadership doesn't even acknowledge workers who are minorities. Working for this company will suck the soul and joy out of you. They also don't pay enough based off your daily duties if you work in the SMO department. This company doesn't show compassion to any of its minority staff members. A lot of racial bias and unethnical HR practices also take place here. They have a high Turn over rate as well.

Pros

Great benefits, however, ICON introduced a reduce in compensation for remote worker expenses.

Cons

Legacy ICON (L-ICON) doesn't support Legacy PRA employees. Legacy ICON is ~10yrs behind in tech (i.e. systems like CTMS, finance, PMT) vs the leaps and bounds PRA was ahead in the industry. L-ICON came into the acquisition with a desire to siphon off large pharma portfolios to the dissatisfaction of said clients, and had no clear plan for absorbing the Large Pharma (IPH) role. Many clients have been dissatisfied and this has resulted in hostile and toxic relationships for L-PRA(IBT) employees who work in crossbilled situations. L-ICON employees have received priority in promotion, raises, rewards, and merit increases vs the L-PRA employees who were in line for the same, and no timetable has been identified for L-PRA to receive those merits. The strategy for 'reward and retention' of what they classify as "Key Personnel" and their highest performers is to reward a Restricted Stock award that doesn't make good on postponed promotions or raises by restricting a reward for 3+yrs and contingent on continued employment.
