      No Career advancement. Some people are promoted within a very short period of time, while others work just as hard or harder! It's WHO you know.

      Worst IT, useless employee "initiatives"

      Decent pay, great colleagues, generous PTO

      Cons

      I have never seen an IT group work so hard to NOT help people to do their jobs. Many requests are simply ignored and there are many IT systems that are poorly or only partiallly deployed causing communication and other technical issues. HR spends 20 minutes 4 times a year promoting their latest employee "initiatives" and the rest of the year doing the opppsite.

      Pros

      Flexible work schedule, Compressed work weeks, Generous PTO - 21 days starting with the option to take another week unpaid.

      Cons

      The office atmosphere isn't ideal. Almost all of your project team is at other locations, so the position feels like it should be home based. The quiet cubicle environment may work for some people, but it's not the best atmosphere for others.
