      ICON Development Solutions Breeds Low Moral For Employees

      Pros

      The best reason to work there was the mission of Clinical Research. It was a very interesting job. I think clinical research is very important because it is how new products get sent to the FDA for approval and put on the market.

      Cons

      People are very back stabbing and two faced. The communication from upper management was not good. The turn over rate is extremely high which made moral low. Management does not listen to complaints - they make excuses and turn blame elsewhere.

      Pros

      Great place for career growth with a global CRO. Exposure to a wide range of areas and opportunities. Fast paced, client-focused. Able to network with people all over the world.

      Cons

      Depending on the clients you work with, projects can be stressful with long workhours and urgent deadlines. Some departments are siloed and not up to speed with the rest of the company. Cumbersome processes and systems make the work more complicated. Executive-level management not fully transparent. Massive layoffs company-wide affecting employees globally regardless of high performance or number of years of experience.

      Pros

      The company culture when it was PRA was amazing. The functional managers for the SMAs were wonderful.

      Cons

      It is now a culture of fear. Steve Cutler had a town hall meeting where he told the American employees that they are outsourcing jobs to India because they can get more qualified employees for much less money.
