Pros

ICU Medical purchased L-Hospira's Pumps, IV Solutions and Sets from Pfizer a year ago. Pfizer purchased Hospira a year and half prior. I've been with the company 16 years and my positive list gets shorter and shorter. The people in Lake Forest are amazing; they are hardworking, dedicated colleagues who are extremely knowledgeable and make good business decisions.

Cons

Upper Management does not communicate with each other let alone to the employees. Customer Care Management is in over her head and should not be managing this or any other organization. ICU needs to replace her soon before she puts the company under for making unrealistic promises to customers and for making unreasonable rash decisions involving the company and its share holders.

I had a 15+ year career with Hospira/Pfizer, all great years.....then ICU bought us and they are in way over their heads. Nothing positive to say about ICU.

Cons

Where do I start? CEO only cares about stock price. Nothing gets done without drama since they have no idea how to handle a transition of this magnitude from regulatory to HR....Hourly employees didn’t even get paid correctly for 5 weeks when transitioning to new payroll system. Sr management thinks outsourcing to contractors will save the world! My benefits got worse after transitioning to ICU. They are aggressively eradicating any and all vestiges of Hospira. If you have any Hospira style “thinking”, you will be gone. All my co-workers are now looking to leave....which is probably what they want.
