      Pros

      The facility is clean and modern, though a little like a rat maze. For some reason IDEXX enjoys a good reputation among people who don't know anything about the company.

      Cons

      Poor pay, poor morale, weak, stagnant leadership, few chances for advancement even after years of hard work and excellent reviews.

      Pros

      Employee will find the balance of work and life in IDEXX. Leading company in its own market. Company provides lots of training opportunities.

      Cons

      Lack of real competition. Company located in a place where the talent pool is relatively small. There are too many in-house construction projects during the past several years.

      Pros

      IDEXX is a great place to work. If you want to work for a company that you can grow from within and are given opportunities based on your drive to further your career then IDEXX is the place to be. They are a solid, growing company and offer their employees excellent benefits. People that leave poor reviews on this site are disgruntled employees that think opportunities fall in your lap. You need to earn these opportunities and that means working hard for what you want. IDEXX also supports employees that are fine at entry level positions. How else is a company supposed to operate...we cannot all be at the top of the food chain. I have been with IDEXX for 7 years now starting at the very bottom and worked my way up. I worked very hard for every step I achieved. IDEXX is NOT a company where it's who you know to move up. They recognize those that are driven, have the potential, and are willing to work hard. I am excited to see what other opportunities are in store for me.

      Cons

      I do not think there are any downsides to working at IDEXX. If I had to mention one thing I would say having to follow a budget.....it puts so many restrictions on what you can buy to operate a lab. Really, that's with any company though.
