Pros

Pays for continuing education and memberships, friendly staff/teams, hybrid

Cons

During the pandemic the message from the company (CEO at the time who has now left) was that everyone wasn't as productive being home which was honestly not true. Their message was also if you can't work your normal hours because of something then take medical leave - which was ridiculous for those of us who have kids who were suddenly homeschooling. When we were told to return into the office everyone was told only 2 days a week you could work remotely and some departments could argue for more. No consistency there making employees upset when others get more than them. Then we come in and NO ONE is even in the office so what is the point? They think everyone should be back in the office, but they don't realize that is the new culture being able to have more flexibility working remotely for home-life balance. There is nothing I can do in the office that I can't do at home. Give staff options Also it is hard to get a promotion here. Most of management has been here forever and does not plan on going anywhere. This makes it hard for those of who work really hard and deserve the recognition for it, to get a promotion. Or a nice thank you bonus could go a long way if you cannot promote. Titles do not translate outside of IEEE at all. No one can tell from my title what I do and outside the company it would not translate

Pros

Good coworkers, easy to take vacation and sick time depending on who your manager is. Annual bonuses (however size of bonus depends on your level)

Cons

Management is old-fashioned. They lack diversity and any sort of innovative views to move the culture and organization forward. Pay is only good if you are executive level. Morale has gone down and employees are leaving rapidly. They don’t ask for employees feedback, and when they do, get angry at them for being honest. This used to be a good place to work but is too stuck in its ways to keep loyal employees staying there.
