Pros

Good place for freshers to come and learn and get hands on. Because igate pays less and relies on seniour (only senior in igate experience) employees of company. So seniors obviously get benifits and freshers will get igate seniority by the time they come to know about the technology they are working on. After 3 or 4 years of joining igate, one will have a knowledge of technology and sent to lead roles and responsible onsite or client site business.

Cons

Freshers strive for salary for 2 to 3 years and then they get good benifits in terms of client site business and onsite opportunities. grown up seniors of igate will be in top positions to cover freshers as they also came from that position in igate. one who joins igate with previous experience will be working as any common employee of other companies with same exp but when it comes to encouragement in terms of money or onsite or direct client visibility, veterans of igate wont even give a chance to laterals. So laterals joining igate is a worst idea. igate doesnt look for skilled resource but looks for a fresher from remote cities (some way related to top managers) and tries to keep them tied with company by flexi work. one more impartant point about igate is that even though it manages to cover its employees it is week in sales

Pros

Need carrier growth work from offshore. Onsite work culture is completely different. You should be upto date in technology to keep your position tight.

Cons

Onsite is still a labour to the project lead as needs to devote more time after hours from home to coordinate with offshore team memebers.
