Pros

Weekends off if you hit sales and good to learn sales experience

Cons

Huge con is they preach integrity but make customers rates sometimes double. They also adjusted everyones pay reducing pay 30-40% while increasing quotas. They claim to be a good family oriented company and life balance while they actually work you late shifts and additional sales meetings etc....part of your igs Salary. If you devide your salary by your hours, lucky to make 12 an hour. In the beginning they act like they care about you. Months later your just another number . As soon as you have a bad day, your manager and team leads are calling harassing you. Everyone that works at igs has bags under there eyes and fears lay offs or terminations. Many team leads and managers were demoted as well. If you want to be micromanaged to no end and lose out on any free time... Igs is the company. Also look up igs home warranty lawsuit. Lots of shady stuff going on.

Pros

People you work with are great! Every employee gets equal beat down for sales. Allow you to work for charitable organizations and help out in the community.

Cons

Door to door sales - Work Mon. thru Fri. but if you don't meet sales quota you have to work Saturdays. Be careful, if you don't meet sales, verbal warning 1st, written 2nd and 3rd written for termination. Plan on working 6 days a week. 2 days out of the week are meetings so your day will be extra long - 9 am to 8pm. Gift card bonus - so you have to pay taxes on them by the next check and 20 cents per mile on travel expenses. Too low, federal is like 57 cents now. Won't talk about health benefits. Better for your health to have a less stressful job.

Pros

The pros are some benefits offered. Other than that, there is nothing else. Base salary is 30k for Home Energy Consultants, that's a slap in the face, especially since cost of living is higher in IL than OH. The company can afford it.

Cons

Oh, where do I start. They are based on lies. Lies they feed to their customers and employees. It's sales so what do you expect. When recruiters call you can tell they are reading a script, they trip over their words and it's just horrible.
