Pros

Health benefits are great. Provider is United Healthcare. There is a gym on site in the Las Vegas building and a cafeteria as well. Food in the cafeteria has an average ticket cost of $6 dollars. The menu rotates out and has options for vegans and meat lovers.

Cons

Ideas are not discussed and everyone from the top down talks poorly of each other to include departments and Account Managers. This is a toxic work environment with no leadership or strategic vision to guide this company in the right direction. IGT has lost market share to competition and will continue to lose market share with poor performing products and poor planning and installations. For a company that manufactures in China and assembles in the US you would think the company would adopt a better Lean Six Sigma model or best practices that organically spreads through the organization - nope. Need data? Good luck. No central data warehouse or central data structure. This is a free for all and data is not clean or within reach. Did you want to waste time with needless reports and meetings? So much time is wasted in this company from meetings to reporting, to tracking product performance from different departments. IGT heavily uses Power Point even with Tableau dashboards as point of reference. This company has egos leading the charge with politics heavily played. If you're considering IGT then you must like complacency, no real change, politics, stroking egos, and wasting time. Did you want to work in the sales analytics team? Even better, the manager is a first time manager who advocates no real change. The manager is the biggest politician I’ve seen in my career with no solid competency with the exception of being able to argue.

Pros

International company. Pleasant people. Fun business.

Cons

Senior leadership out of touch. Focus on bottom-line over employee welfare. Failure to build substantial and sustainable growth outside of powerball. Much easier to advancement if you're Italian.

Pros

None at this time, unfortunately.

Cons

To quote from Merit Increase Talking Points - "Employees making at or above market should be fully competent in their role. If an employee is fully competent in their role, they should be performing at a higher level. Successful achievement states that the employee is doing their job and sometimes exceeding. One would expect that employees at or above market are fully competent and performing at a higher level." So, if you're doing your job and sometimes exceeding, you're seen as just barely adequate and undeserving of any increase. This company is doing everything it can to cut costs. Travel and training are other areas that have been cut back. Vacation carryover into the next year has been eliminated, so now it's 'use it or lose it'. I strongly believe this company is being marketed for sale, and it's trying to do everything it can to make the financials more attractive. This, unfortunately, is at the employees' expense. I foresee many experienced employees leaving in the next few months, which will make it harder on the ones who stay. Stay away from this company!
