They took SO MUCH from us. . .

Pros

Direct Supervisors and Management were good to me but they could not stop what the company was changing so I had to go.

Cons

Company said they never did lay-offs but that was a big lie. They went through a crazy long string of lay-offs. No more holiday party, no more company picnics, cash share (bonus) checks all but gone. and some went several years without a raise. They thought they were doing us a favor.

Pros

USED to be a great place to work. Still a lot of good people here because they can't go anywhere else due to a non-compete they signed years ago that was never explained to them.

Cons

I accepted some stock options years ago. At the time, my manager never explained to me that by accepting these options, I was signing a one year non-compete. I actually heard about the non-compete years later. The options are completely worthless, and I haven't had a raise or bonus in 5 years. I have no future in this company and can't leave because of these worthless, silly stock options. Patty Hart had made a public comment; confirmed by HR; that anyone who felt they were treated like a "battered wife" (her quote), could leave the company with their noncompete waived. A friend of mine approached HR to test the water and was told "NO". Another LIE by Patty.

More Politics Than Election Night

Pros

Some very creative and hard working people, unfortunately they soon become disillusioned. 401k recently got a lot better.

Cons

Politics and self-serving senior management. Upper management comes from outside the industry and therefore will never admit they are lacking in that knowledge so keep employing more people from outside the industry. Meanwhile the good guys get annoyed, move and make IGT's competitors even stronger. The non-compete is crazy (and very cruel), but without it I doubt there would be any good guys left at IGT in Nevada. I'm not sure middle management is the problem as many people on Glassdoor do. The real issue is above those guys.
